As cities across the United States see high arrivals of asylum seekers from Central and South America, Salt Lake City does as well.
Catholic Community Services of Utah is working with Salt Lake City’s Homeless Resource Center’s to find housing for these migrants.
Unfortunately, these individuals do not qualify for the same benefits as CCS’ refugee clients, which limits the resources that are available.
CCS is seeking community members willing to donate apartments, basement apartments, or a room in a home for these families. These spaces can be located in Salt Lake County and surrounding counties.
