Last night, Catholic Community Services hosted the annual Humanitarian Awards Dinner.
This year, we celebrated multiple well-deserving honorees. Judge John Baxter, who held court in the Weigand Homeless Resource Center for years and assisted CCS clients, was the recipient of this year's Lifetime of Service Award. Dee Rowland, who served 26 years as the Diocese of Salt Lake City's Government Liaison, was recognized as the 2022 Humanitarian of Year. Finally, the United Jewish Federation was honored as the 2022 Partner of the Year in gratitude for the assistance they've provided for CCS' Migration and Refugee Services department. CCS Board member Robert Fotheringham and his wife, Kathy Fotheringham were honored as 2022 Humanitarians. CCS' Employee of the Year was Alyssa Williams, Immigration Program Manager. Sue Marquardt will be the 2022 Volunteer of the Year, as well as CCS' Service Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
We were also joined by many supporters, sponsors, and friends of CCS.
We would like to extend our gratitude to our Patron and Steward level sponsors, as well as all who attended and supported this year's event.
