Weigand Resource Center
Providing daytime refuge for those experiencing homelessness.
What We Do
The Weigand Resource Center is the only day shelter of its kind in Salt Lake City. The center not only provides clients with daytime shelter, but also a variety of resources and a number of in-house partnerships to provide clients with the tools they need to reach self-sufficiency.
How We Do It
The center provides clients with daytime shelter, as well as a variety of other resources. These include case management, storage facilities, hygiene products, and showering and laundry facilities. The Weigand Homeless Resource Center also provides clients with a computer lab to search for employment and benefit programs, as well as resume and job application assistance and a clothing room for clients on Tuesday and Friday from 7:15-10:15 am. Finally, the center has in-house partnerships with the Salt Lake City Justice Court, Department of Workforce Services of Utah, Fourth Street Clinic, the VA, and Utah Community Action to provide additional resources such as housing placement, benefit enrollment, and medical services.
