Immigration

Providing assistance each step of the way.

What We Do

CCS' Immigration team helps refugees and migrants reach critical legal milestones in the United States by providing the immigration legal services that they need at each stage of the process. Services are available in both Salt Lake City and Ogden.

How We Do It

Our qualified and empathetic immigration team provides a variety of services. These services include:

  • Helping individuals understand the immigration legal process
  • Filing immigration applications with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service
  • Representing clients before the Immigration Court and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service
  • Helping clients apply to reunite with their families, secure permanent legal residence in the U.S., and achieve the goal of U.S. citizenship
  • Working to help paroled migrants apply for asylum
  • Representing migrant youth and families in removal proceedings

Who We Help

Nearly 14% of Americans are immigrants, making our country the most immigrant dense country in the world. Immigrating to a new country has unique cultural and administrative challenges. Having access to affordable, effective social services providers is key to helping the more than 66,000 foreign-born residents of Salt Lake County who have not yet naturalized move forward in upgrading their immigration statuses, allowing them to become more prosperous and fully engage in the civic fabric of our community. Our immigration program exists to assist clients on that journey.
