As Valentine's Day approaches, we're all looking for ways to show a little bit of love in our community.

From offering diverse volunteer opportunities that enable individuals to make a difference, to providing avenues for donations that support our programs and clients, Catholic Community Services of Utah invites you to join us in executing our mission.

Below, you’ll find CCS’ current, most pressing needs and the ways that you can get involved.

{slider title="Food Donations Needed at Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank" open="false"}

Through the operation of the Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank, CCS strives to ensure that those experiencing hunger in the Ogden community have access to the food they need.

Currently, the facility is experiencing an extreme shortage of food. Will you help us keep our shelves stocked?

Donations can be dropped off at 2504 F Avenue in Ogden on weekdays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Donations can also be made quickly and easily through our Amazon Wishlist. More information and high priority items can be found here. Feminine hygiene products are also a current donation need.

{slider Sneakers, Undergarments, and More Needed at Basic Needs Salt Lake}

CCS’ Basic Needs Salt Lake serves those in our community impacted by homelessness, as well as food and income insecurity.

Currently, the facility is in need of towels, underwear, and sneakers for clients. Students of St. Vincent's Kitchen Academy are also in need of Cooking Thesauruses.

Donations can be made through our Amazon Wishlist, or dropped off at 437 W 200 S, Salt Lake City, UT on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. More information can be found here.

{slider Household Items Needed for Refugee Clients}

As CCS’ Refugee Resettlement program resettles families here in Utah, we ensure that their home is equipped with all of the household necessities—furniture, small appliances, dishes, and much more.

To make sure that clients have all that they need, we need your help! Many donations needs can be found on our Amazon Wishlist. This list can also be used as inspiration for in-kind donations to be purchased elsewhere and dropped off at 440 South 400 West Suite D&E, Salt Lake City, UT. Donations can be dropped off on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

{slider Housing Donations Needed for Refugee Clients}

CCS' Refugee Resettlement team works hard to make sure that all clients settling into life in Utah have a place to call home. You can play a part by donating housing or renting to incoming refugee clients. If you're interested, please complete this form. Upon completion, someone from our housing team will be in touch should a need arise that your donation can remedy.

{slider Donate Unneeded Vehicles to Refugee Clients}

For many newly arrived refugees, transportation can be an added barrier to settling into life in Utah. As clients receive their driver's licenses and secure employment, owning a vehicle can make all of the difference in getting to and from work.

If you have an unneeded vehicle, consider donating it to CCS for a refugee client. For more information, please contact Stevie at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
