Refugee Youth Mentor


Youth Mentors will be matched with one of our recently arrived refugee youth. The Mentee’s are anywhere from late Elementary to High School age.  

 The Mentor's role is to be a friend to their mentee, help them adjust to a new cultural environment, discover and develop their strength, and engage with others and the community in positive ways. You will plan fun and meaningful activities to do with your Mentee.

Groups Allowed: This opportunity is best suited for individuals. 

Age Requirements: 21+ 

Court-ordered Volunteer Hours: This role is not suited for those wishing to complete court-ordered volunteer hours.

Location

Location varies based on the Mentee’s place of residence. 

Time Commitment
Volunteers are asked to spend eight hours each month with the Mentee for one year. Youth Mentors should also contact their mentee weekly.
